This graph tracks the abundance of yellow tangs in the Ke’ei region from the 1970’s. Aquarium collecting took a toll until the late 1990’s and measures taken by the West Hawai’i Fishery Council have resulted in a rebound, almost back to levels from 40+ years ago.
